What are the requirements for CPR training for GPs and Clinicians in Jersey?

The Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines state that training must be in place to ensure that clinical staff can undertake cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Training and facilities must ensure that, when cardiorespiratory arrest occurs, as a minimum all clinical staff can:

  • recognise cardiorespiratory arrest;
  • summon help;
  • start CPR;
  • attempt defibrillation (if appropriate) with an automated external defibrillator (AED) with the minimum of delay, whenever possible within 3 minutes of collapse.

How does A2E Help?

Our updates meet the resuscitation council, UK, Standards for CPR in primary care.

A2E offers the same level of AED and CPR training that you receive when attending national courses but with the convenience of the training being delivered in your own surgery at a time that suits you. This saves you time and money, and enables all of your surgery staff to attend rather than just your clinicians.

Other Benefits of A2E On-site Training

In addition to the basic CPR and AED training, our instructors can provide a review of your emergency processes and equipment including:

  • the drugs you hold on site
  • the use of oxygen
  • airway adjuncts
  • self-inflating bags
  • face masks
  • portable suction
